We already have an MSP — is this a pitch to replace them?

No. Most of the organizations we audit keep their existing MSP. General IT support and compliance evidence are different jobs, and most MSPs were never scoped for the second one. The snapshot tells you which controls your current provider already covers and which ones nobody owns. Plenty of our work is co-managed alongside an incumbent MSP.

We're too small for CMMC / NIST / FTC Safeguards to apply to us.

Size does not determine scope — your contracts and your data do. A 12-person shop with a DoD subcontract carries the same CUI obligations as a 500-person prime. A single-location dealership is fully in scope for the FTC Safeguards Rule. The audit takes 45 minutes precisely so you can find out which of the frameworks actually bind you before you spend money assuming.

Then bring them a scored document instead of an opinion. The 1-page snapshot is written to be forwarded — it shows your control score, the ranked gaps, and the contract or regulatory exposure each gap creates. That is usually a far easier budget conversation than a vendor proposal, and it is the reason we hand it over whether or not you ever hire us.

How much does the actual remediation work cost?

It depends on how far the gaps go, which is exactly what the audit establishes. On the call we will give you a realistic range for an organization your size and complexity, so you leave with a number to plan against. There is no obligation attached to it and no pricing pressure on the call itself.

Do I need to prepare anything or give you access to our systems?

Accepted Answer

Nothing and no. No agents, no credentials, no read-only access, no questionnaire in advance. We score the 47 controls conversationally with whoever knows your environment best — usually an owner, an operations lead, or an internal IT person.

Is this really 45 minutes, and is it really a senior engineer?
