Since the launch of Apple’s El Capitan, Office 2016 apps have been exhibiting unstable behavior for most users.
Microsoft suggested that they would have to get Apple’s involvement in order to help issue a fix. Yesterday, 10-21-15 OSX 10.11.1 was released, which included “improved compatibility with Office 2016”. Here are the Apple release notes.
Early reports from users in the Microsoft Community Forums are promising. However, some users are still reporting issues with Excel. While it’s seems that Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint are running mostly without a hitch.
If you are running El Capitan and using Office 2016, we recommend downloading the new update from the App Store immediately.
